THE NEED FOR TOLERANCE
Intolerance leads to violence, while patience fosters peace. These two statements summarize the essence of both peace and violence. In a society where patience is valued, peace will prevail. Conversely, in a society lacking patience, violence will emerge. Violence is neither beneficial for the perpetrator nor for those it harms.
Patience is a high moral and human virtue. In contrast, a lack of patience is an animalistic trait. Genuine forbearance is not the forced endurance of someone who has no other choice; it is an act of the highest moral order. The goal that people often try to reach through intolerance can be better achieved through patience.
When a person becomes intolerant in a difficult situation, they weaken themselves in facing it. But when someone stays patient during an unpleasant situation, they keep all their strength. They can handle the situation more effectively.
Remaining patient despite an unpleasant situation shows that a person has the ability to control themselves. And someone who has the strength to control themselves becomes so strong that no one can defeat them.
