RELIGION AND SCIENCE
The study of anthropology shows that the history of religion is as old as human history. Since humans have existed on Earth, religion has also been present. So far, no human society has been found that did not have religion. Even today—an age that some enthusiastic people believe is free of religion—is certainly not without it. Religion is still as alive now as it was in the past.
In today’s world, alongside the traditional religious community, a new group of educated people has emerged, commonly called the modern class. Broadly speaking, this group can be divided into two categories. One includes those who, according to their own claims, deny the existence of God and religion. Such people are generally known as atheists. The second group comprises those who, although they do not follow religion in its traditional form, still consider themselves believers in God and religion, based on their own understanding. A well-known figure from the first group is the British philosopher Bertrand Russell (1872-1970). An example from the second group is the famous German scientist Albert Einstein (1879-1955).
