WAR IS OUTDATED
Broadly speaking, there have been two eras of war. The first was the early period when battles were decided by the sword. The second is the modern era, where bombs are used in warfare. There is a fundamental difference between these two periods. When a sword was used, it could only strike one enemy at a time. In the age of bombs, war no longer serves the same purpose. Today, war only means destruction. The bomb dropped on the enemy also causes destruction to the one dropping it, in various ways. Under these conditions, war has become a pointless act. War is now madness, not a strategic action aimed at achieving any goal.
The truth is that after the development of new weapons, war has become something to avoid. When war, in a positive sense, produces no results, then waging war in such circumstances is madness, not wisdom.
