In a rose plant, thorns are the problem. They will always remain there. They are part of the tree. In life, problems are a part of life. You cannot eliminate them. Everyone was a problem fighter. No one was a problem solver. The Prophet of Islam discovered this secret with God's help. His movement was based on this. The Prophet's life as a prophet was for 23 years. He faced problems everyday. But every time, he avoided the problem and availed of the opportunity. Prophet's entire life was based on ignore the problems and avail of the opportunities. This is the divine formula.
Chapter al-Teen is a small chapter of the Quran. It says: َقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ، ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ، إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ (95:4-6)
To understand the translation, you will have to read between the lines. The translation is: We created the man in the best mold, then We cast him down to the lowest of the low, except those who are people of faith. This is the literal translation. But what is the meaning? I reflected on this. The meaning is: Life is full of problems. According to the creation of plan of God, life is full of problems, except for those who know the art of problem management. The Quran also says: copy لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي كَبَدٍ (90:4)
According to God's creation of plan, humans have been created in the midst of problems. Just as a flower comes with thorns, in the same way, problems are a part of life. We cannot eliminate problems. We have no option other than to manage these problems. This is a simple truth about which people have remained unaware. In history, people have risen up as problem fighters, not as problem managers. In entire history, we can see all philosophers, reformers and thinkers were problem fighters. This is why, all were a case of failure. Someone has said: All revolutions were a case of failure. Failure in which sense? They couldn’t achieve their real target of making a better society.
Why was this so? All philosophers and reformers were in the obsession to make the society problem-free and evil-free. All philosophers including Marx and Rousseau did this.
