Whenever you find a situation in which there is difficulty, don’t focus on the difficulty. Rather you must notice that there are also opportunities present at the same time. Where there is a difficulty, there is also an opportunity. Try to discover these opportunities. Your focus should be on the opportunities, not on the difficulty. Your focus should be on the opportunities and not on the problems. If there are problems on the one hand, there are opportunities on the other hand. The simple formula is to ignore the problems and avail the opportunities.
There is a verse in the Quran: فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا. So, surely with every hardship there is ease; surely, with every hardship there is ease. (94:5-6) With every hardship, there is ease. With every hardship, there is ease. What does this mean? This verse tells us about a law of nature. God has made this world in such a way that never will you be totally surrounded by difficulties, without there being any ease. What we call a difficulty is actually a challenge. It is not a difficulty. Whenever you clash with the problems, you won't be able to avail of the opportunities present in that situation. Clashing or confronting with the problems is to waste your time and ruin your opportunities. This is why, the best formula is to ignore the problem and avail the opportunity.
