The Quran gives a formula for peace. I once attended a meeting in which everyone was discussing about peace. I said it is most important to have a workable formula for peace. You may speak about peace endlessly, but must have a workable formula for peace. Everyone said, in one way or another, that peace must come with justice. Every person thinks that first we need to bring justice and then peace will follow. This is not a workable formula. It lacks feasibility. Based on this, you will keep fighting to no end. The Quran for the first time gave a workable or feasible formula for peace. It is: وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ

I have written about it in detail in my books. The Quranic formula for peace is based on accepting the status quo. Peace is established by accepting the existing status quo.  The method people follow is: change the status quo and bring justice so that peace may be established. This is everyone's formula: change the status quo, bring justice and then peace will follow. This formula is not feasible.  There is only one correct formula given by the Quran: establish peace by accepting the status quo. This will open up opportunities. Once opportunities are opened up, you will find ways to work. Your efforts will then bring about peace and even justice. Peace gives opportunities, peace doesn't instantly establish justice. This is the Quranic formula which was adopted by the Prophet. Pacifism is a complete discipline in history.

Many books have been written on the subject. But people have had no workable formula on pacifism. I found the workable formula for peace through study of the Quran: first establish peace by accepting the existing status quo. This then opens up opportunities. Once you avail these opportunities, you will have justice. This is the workable formula for peace.
