Nature Follows the Principle of Avoidance

We should do our work while avoiding others, tolerating one another. Every person should be a peaceful member of society; not a member who clashes with others but avoids confrontation. In the entire universe, every part, is following the principle of avoidance. This is why the universe has been going on for a billion years now.

The river stream flows in mountainous areas. The streams flow down from the mountains to the fields. When the river streams down, it encounters big rocks in its way. Streams don’t collide with the rocks. They avoid the rocks and boulders in their ways, turning right or left to move away. This is avoidance, which is called eraz in the Quran. (21.33) The whole of nature follows this as a principle. Stars are rotating at very great speed, but they don’t collide into one another. They follow the principle of avoidance. The principle of avoidance governs the entire universe. This is the best principle for our social life. We should do our work while avoiding others, tolerating one another. Every person should be a peaceful member of society; not a member who clashes with others but avoids confrontation. In the entire universe, every part, is following the principle of avoidance. This is why the universe has been going on for a billion years now.
