A verse in the Quran appears in two different chapters. وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ (8:28, 64:15) This verse comes at two places in the Quran: Know that your wealth and children are a trial and that there is an immense reward with God. This verse of the Quran gives guidance to present Muslims. Where are Muslims busy and involved today? It is in children and wealth. Wealth doesn’t only mean money, it includes land or property. Muslims are either engaged in earning money, or acquiring land.  وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ۔ Even if you acquire these things, they are only test papers and nothing more. In God's eyes, wealth and land are both test papers. After all the sacrifice, what do you gain? You only add to your tests. God has a greater reward for which you must work. لِمِثْلِ هَذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ (37:61) This reward is Paradise about which the Quran says: وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ (3:133) Paradise is as vast as the heavens and the earth. It is so vast that it is spread out in the heavens and the earth. You must reflect on this verse. God is calling you toward Paradise which is as vast as the heavens and the earth. But you are fighting for wealth and land, which are temporary. Even if you acquire it all, you have to soon die. But Paradise is eternal.
