“The Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP)” Annual Conference & Book Fair, a highly anticipated event celebrating literature and connections, took place in Kansas City, Missouri, from February 7-10, 2024.
With a consistent theme of honouring writers and their works while fostering a love for reading, writing, and reflection, the conference welcomed diverse participants, including the Center for Peace and Spirituality, USA (CPS USA).
CPS USA made a notable contribution by distributing 20 boxes of the Quran translations and the book Quranic Wisdom. Their participation underscores the event’s spirit of inclusivity and cultural exchange.

Mumbai CPS Team Meeting Report
Date: January 28 January 2024
Venue: CPS Mumbai member Yasmin Shaikh’s home in Mumbai.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Ms Reshma Shaikh. She runs an NGO in Mumbai. She is keen to understand CPS ideology. Mr Sripal Vimalchand Kothari was also in attendance. He shared many important things on life. Fehmida Aapa from Delhi CPS team shared her spiritual journey.
CPS Delhi Member Dr Rajat Malhotra gave a presentation to students at the Margins to Mainstream Foundation in Old Delhi on February 03, 2024, discussing the topic of “Hudaybiyyah Wisdom.” The talk explored the historical importance of the Hudaybiyyah Treaty, emphasizing its significant impact on Islamic history.
Furthermore, practical insights derived from this historic treaty were shared, aiming to offer lessons applicable to daily life for achieving success. Following the presentation, students engaged in a Q&A session and received spiritual literature as gifts.
A Blogger from Bangladesh visited Goodword Book Stall in book fair. He was enthralled by the fact that free distribution of Quran is happening in India while back in his country people are of the opinion that Muslims here live in fear and Islam is crushed.
