Every person is saying that Muslims must do good deeds. They must have Islamic character.  But the question is why is this not happening in reality? If you think about it, you will realize that Islam has become a stranger. This has made it impossible for people to do good deeds.

Why is this so? First, consider the Prophet of Islam. The Quran says: لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ (33.21) The Prophet of Islam is a model for the followers of Islam. You must follow the Prophet's model. These days people don’t follow the model of the Prophet at all. Consider the books we read and the poems being recited that extol the Prophet in madrasas and mosques. QTV is full of people singing eulogies for the Prophet. This is very common among Muslims today. The books written these days are also in the form of eulogy and praise. These books and poems depict the Prophet as equal to God. The one who was positioned on the throne as God. Has come down to the earth as Mustafa (Muhammad) He speaks from the pulpit of Madinah's mosque We have seen an Arab without ayn. These lines mean that we have made the Prophet into God. Yesterday a person went to a Muslim gathering where Prophet's eulogies were being sung.  Always in Muslim gatherings, praises of the Prophet are sung. This has become a tradition.

What was being recited in these poems? This was being recited for the Prophet: We drink the water you have given. We eat the food you have provided.  The water is yours. The food is yours.  This is the position given to the Prophet. He is believed to provide us with food and water. A phrase common these days for the Prophet is: He is the reason for the creation of the universe. This means that if the Prophet did not exist, the world would have not existed. If you raise the position of a person to such a great extent, how will he ever be a model you can follow? He is a super-human being. He has been given the position of God. A model who can be followed is one who is like us, one who feels sad as we do, one who faces advantage and disadvantage as we do, one who feels happiness and sorrow as we do, and one who has limitations as we have.

Is God a model whom we can follow? These days what is being said about the Prophet is same as raising the Prophet to God's position. The universe has been created for the Prophet. If the Prophet had not existed, the world would have not existed. Now all that remains to be said, God forbid, is that it was the Prophet who created God. This is all that hasn’t been said yet. Nothing besides this remains to be said.
