There is eternity after death. I was conversing with a gentleman who was speaking very boastfully. So, I said, think about how you will face eternity. Right now, it is a matter of 64 years; you have managed 64 years, but how will you face eternity? As I wore my socks, a tiny object entered inside, incessantly pricking my foot. Until I removed that thing from the sock, I didn't feel at ease. So I thought, if in the afterlife I am given even a small punishment where a tiny nail keeps pricking my foot and never comes out, what will my condition be? "It is mentioned in the Hadith النَّاسُ نِيَامٌ، فَإِذَا مَاتُوا انْتَبَهُوا (People are in a state of sleep, only to awaken upon death) Al-Maqasid Al-Hasanah 1240."

How strange is it that what we consider life is actually like sleeping, being unaware, because we are living in this world without thinking about facing eternity. We make all efforts for a 64-year life, but we have no preparation for the eternity that is to come afterward. This is the whole issue.
