There are some with strong personality and others with weak personality. A strong personality means to be a man of word, one who does what he says, has no hypocrisy and no difference in his head and heart. Suppose a person makes mistakes and doesn’t say I was wrong. Instead he starts to patch up and gives explanations to prove he is right. Even after making a mistake, he doesn’t clearly say I was wrong. All this makes a weak personality.
A hadith says: المؤمن القوي أحب إلى الله من المؤمن الضعيف (Musnad al-Bazzar 8835). The words used in the hadith are الضعيف and القوي. An aspect of this is that there are some with strong personality and others with weak personality. The hadith means that if a person makes a promise and fulfils it, admits his mistakes when he is wrong, doesn’t speak manipulatively, rather says the right thing. Then he will build a strong personality. In another case, he will have a weak personality. A meaning of this hadith is that God likes a person to build a strong personality, not a weak personality. Why? One who has weak personality will not receive God's blessings. One with strong personality receives God's blessings. God likes such a person. Every moment, God sends down inspiration to people through angels.
