Hajj is a journey toward God—a profound meeting with the Almighty. While other acts of worship serve as a remembrance of God, Hajj represents reaching directly to His presence. Suppose ordinary acts of worship involve devotion at the level of faith in the unseen. In that case, Hajj elevates this experience, in the words of Hadith Jibreel, to the level of ka'annaka tarah (as if you see God).
