  Article: Eid Brings People Together
The Speaking Tree, August 17, 2012
According to the Islamic tradition, there are two festivals observed by Muslims every year - Eid-ul-Fitr just after Ramzan and Eid-ul-Zuha in the month of Hajj. Eid-ul-Fitr literally means 'festival of breaking the fast'. Like other festivals, Eid-ul-Fitr is a symbol of an important article of faith. It reminds one of an Islamic belief in the form of social practice.

  Maulana Wahiduddin Khan's Blog
Difference as an Asset: There have to be certain pre-conditions if difference is to be a healthy social asset. In spite of differences you have to remain peaceable. You have to be sincere and objective, so that the difference may be expressed in a disciplined manner. You have to express your differences peacefully, and at the same time be open-minded enough to allow others to freely express their views. Difference with peace is a blessing, but difference with violence is a problem.

  Talk: The Concept of Paradise
In his talk, the Maulana explains why paradise is the real extension of man’s unfulfilled present-day life and that the most significant aspect of paradise will be God Almighty Himself. Being able to finally meet his ultimate Benefactor will be supremely joyful for man. These blessed souls who would get selected for paradise will dwell in the company of angels and the best men from among the entire history of mankind. Amidst all these joys that man would experience, would be the joy of fulfillment of his desires.

Book of the Month: Moral Vision
This anthology of articles by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan is designed to illustrate the science of life which the author has derived from one of the basic principles of the Quran: “Every hardship comes with ease” (94:5-6). In his view, failure in life is a common occurrence, but that coupled with a positive attitude, it can be transformed into success. Failure, on the other hand, coupled with a negative attitude is again failure. The author gives examples from the Quran and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, to show that there is no end to the possibilities of success life for the individual who can take a lesson from failure. He also cautions that life's tribulations must be faced patience, perseverance and compassion.
