Booklet: El Hombre que el Islam Construye (The Man Islam Builds)
Language: Spanish
According to the Qur'an this is the ultimate stage in a man's spiritual development. When he reaches this stage of progress, he qualifies himself to be ushered into Paradise, the perfect and eternal world of the Hereafter. The Qur'an addresses such souls in these words: "O serene soul! Return to your Lord joyful, and pleasing in His sight. Join My servants and enter My paradise." (89:27-30)

Article: Importance of Playing a Secondary Role by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan
The Sunday Guardian, May 8, 2011
In the chapter entitled Al-Zukhruf (Ornaments of Gold), the Quran describes a law of nature which is very important for the purpose of nation building. The translation of the relevant verse is as follows: "Is it they who apportion the blessing of your Lord? It is We who distribute among them their livelihood in the life of this world, and raise some of them above others in rank, so that they may take one another into service; and the blessing of your Lord is better than [the wealth] which they amass." (43:32)

Article: Reaching for Higher Ground by Farida Khanam, President CPS International
The Times of India, April 19, 2011
The one who gives all his attention to worldly things and who centers his attention on mere appearances is regarded as being material-minded. Conversely, one who rises above material things or appearances, who finds his focus of interest in non-material things, is regarded as being spiritual or godly. The latter is one who follows the injunction of the Quran: 'Be devoted servants of God' (3:79). That is, one who lives a God-oriented life.

Video: The Role of Islam in Personality Development
In his talk, the Maulana explains that over the last hundred years, man's thinking underwent a paradigm shift. The thought process, which led to this shift propagated anti-systems thinking and extended its influence to minds all over the world including the Muslim minds. Unfortunately, the Muslim clerics rendered a political interpretation of the Quran and this led to violence and killings which were to Islam. The erroneous interpretation of the Quran gained such popularity that as a result the actual teachings of the Quran, which dealt with personality development of man were never highlighted.

  Audio: On Youth
There is a saying that the young man sees the rule and the old man sees the exception. With a slight change, I would like to say that the overconfident person sees the rule and the confident person sees the exception. Overconfident people always live in risks. It is said that taking risks is good. They say: no risk, no gain. But risk must be a well-calculated risk otherwise risk becomes very dangerous.

  Maulana Wahiduddin Khan's Blog
Disciplined Behaviour: Man has been given freedom in this world. What is required of him is that, despite possessing total freedom, he should of his own free will become an example of moral, disciplined behaviour. One who thus conducts himself will pass God's test and will be selected by the Lord, the Creator and Sustainer of this universe, as the beneficiaries of that most wonderful blessing-eternal paradise.

Book of the Month: Search for Truth
In Search for Truth, the author states that man is a born seeker-a veritable truth-seeking animal. Every human being regards himself as incomplete until he has found that supreme principle by which he can explain his existence in this world and discover the purpose and meaning of his life. Everyone is a seeker. True. But few are finders. Why? Because, where seeking is instinctive, finding is the outcome of one's own conscious effort. This will to search for the truth is implanted in everyone. But it depends upon every individual himself, whether or not he pursues this natural urge. Only through sincere pursuit will he discover the truth and thus make his life meaningful. For any kind of negligence or apathy in this regard, there is no excuse, whatever the circumstances.

  FAQs
Q. How should we thank God?
A. We should thank God by acknowledging the bounties He has bestowed on us. This acknowledgement is called shukr or gratefulness. God is the giver and we are the takers. It is the taker's duty to acknowledge the giver. Acknowledgment is the only thing that is expected of you for all that God has given. One who fails to do this small act of thanksgiving has no right to enjoy the divine blessing.
